GTA Online players unable to connect to friends, Rockstar Games suggests workaround

Many fans are currently experiencing an in-game issue that are preventing them from being able to play the online multiplayer mode of Grand Theft Auto V with anyone located on their friends list. Enough users have submitted a ticket on the bug today that the official Rockstar Support website posted an article to inform GTA V fans that they are aware of the issues. The developer also reassured gamers that they are actively looking into the reports now in order to resolve the problem.

According to Rockstar Games, many GTA V users are encountering the bug after trying to either join or invite someone from their friends list to a GTA Online lobby or match. The developer states that the game is incorrectly giving the following error message to those wanting to play GTA V with their friends.

This has been a on going problem since the christmas hack job on xbl. When in a invite only game and you go to free mode it would just sit and load or dump you into a public server. If you were luck, you would go back to a private server by yourself.

I'll try to do what they say to do here, but lets hope this gets worked out in the next patch...and before the hiests come out!

Update:I get a message saying current online session you are trying to join is unavailable. Please try again later. WTF?
