Videogames close the gap on US home video market

The Entertainment Merchant Association has released its annual report which shows the growing games industry catching up in sales to the home video market in the US.

The US home video market generated USD 24 billion, this includes USD 15.9 billion in sales and USD 8.2 billion in rentals for 2007. Meanwhile the region's videogame market grew to be worth USD 15.64 billion, a figure which doesn't include revenue generated through rentals like the home video market.
