Diablo 3: No More PKing, PvP To Be Added

Blizzard reveals that the ability to kill other players without their consent (also known as PK'ing) is not going to be a part of Diablo 3's gameplay as it was in the previous two iterations of the series due to the problems that arose in its implementation from Diablo and Diablo 2.

What instead is to take its place is a full fledged PvP system. Further details on the PvP and PKing subject can be read within the article.

Good to know, but the most important question is when it will be released? I am hoping early 2009 since 2008 is unlikely.

Like you never know when or if it's coming. I remember playing diablo back in 96 for the first time online.Coercing someone down into a dungeon with me to find some "loot", only to turn around when he was cornered, to kill him and take his ear and any loot I could find. Man did I have a laugh then. Mind you I had the same thing happen to me and even then it was fun and funny. If anything it made you watch your back or become a little more cautious as to who you venture out with. Ah the good ole days.

Sad to see the one game I thought would still keep pking in an MMO getting rid of it. God damn WoW and all it's flower power influences.... R.I.P PK

what are you blaming WoW for? Its a lame feature that turns off the majority of players and is only fun for 12 year olds who have no empathy. Any MMO that had it pulled it out long before WoW hit. Wanna blame somebody, blame the 12 year olds that abused it. I cant tell you how many times I was leveling up a second char in D2 and no matter what level I was, the only people that went hostile were always no less than 20 levels higher for the most part.Thats the same as Kimbo Slice beating a 1st grader then bragging about it like he actually accomplished something.
