Soapbox: Poor Communication Continues to Be PSN's Biggest Problem

Push Square: "The PlayStation Network has been on and off for three days now, and it's not good enough. I'm confident that Sony is working around the clock to restore the service, and I'm not one of those people that lacks patience, but I am disappointed at the Japanese giant's communication on the matter. At this point, we still don't have a clear outline of what the company's doing, when it expects the service to resume, and why this is happening in the first place."

Just bought BF for PS4 on PS Store

Anyway, PlayStation Network Update :

The video game industry has been experiencing high levels of traffic designed to disrupt connectivity and online gameplay. Multiple networks, including PSN, have been affected over the last 48 hours. PSN engineers are working hard to restore full network access and online gameplay as quickly as possible.

From time to time there may be disruptions in service due to surges in traffic, but our engineers will be working to restore service as quickly as possible.

If you received a PlayStation console over the holidays and have been unable to log onto the network, know that this problem is temporary and is not caused by your game console. We’ll continue to keep you posted on Twitter at @AskPlayStation and we’ll update this post once the problems subside.

Thanks again for your patience.

I was thinking the same

People already know what has happened

I've just seen this on Sky News and people are over exaggerating the hell out of all this. Some woman said she bought her bf a PS4 for Xmas but it's still wrapped in it's box because she can't play on it or PLUG IT IN.

I mean what the f***

Eonjay1085d ago

Yeah, somewhere a bunch of girls are doing a synchronized facepalm.

Kayant1085d ago

I mean sure they could explain it but the majority of customers don't care about technicalities and stupid news sites will continue to spread information calling it "hacking", none does the so called people from lizard squad calling it the same or saying it's for "security" or whatever BS they saying helps. And no it has zero to do with security.

There isn't much to do in this case because the people they care or what to know what is going on with search on line and gain knowledge.

I wonder if opinion pieces like this are written to incite debate, or just to cause fights. I think they pretty much said all they could say on the matter so what's the real point of articles like this?

There's plenty of constructive criticism in the article, that I hope people will read and discuss. Not spoiling for a fight in the slightest - it's feedback on a current topic.
