10 Severely Underrated RPGs You Need To Check Out

WC:
If the video game RPG genre was a human being, it’d be that kid who was a bit of an outsider in school; probably bullied and laughed at for playing with his imaginary friends, but never complained, kept doing their thing, and went on to be successful and appreciated by people later in life.

I reckon I need to check out that Vampire game. Also come January, Dragons Dogma would need to be on the list when it launches on steam

DarkOcelet3031d ago

Dragons Dogma is a must have game. Such an excellent game.

AlokTheDemon3031d ago

no fast travel and repetitive spawn is only thing that I dislike about dragon dogma. otherwise an excellent game indeed.

@AlokTheDemon

Dark Arisen Expansion added Fast Travel btw :)

slappy5083031d ago

I think I played it on the PS3 when there wasn't fast travel. I actually didn't mind not being able to fast travel because I just like walking around and exploring in these types of games. Obviously it is useful to have fast travel in there so that's pretty cool. But I want that 60fps and higher res the most!

DarkOcelet3031d ago

Dont worry, the fast travel issue has been fixed in Dark Arisen so you are gonna be good.

And this game will look stunning on PC.

YoungKingDoran3031d ago

Most RPGs age really well. I expect a lot of us will have some catching up to do when we are old, decrepit and don't understand the new, silly technologies these kids use (and even our Holodecks became obsolete decades ago).
well, i hope i made some sense in my 1 sentence glimpse at the future.

NEO Scavenger: SteamFirst Review

SteamFirst: NEO Scavenger is the fourth installment in The Matrix franchise. As everyone who saw these films is aware Neo aka “The One” is really Jesus, which is subtly hinted at on a couple of brief occasions throughout the trilogy. Naturally, this means he comes back from the dead three days after the ending of Matrix Revolutions. In this Smith free world the matrix has rebooted itself, and the citizens are no longer in need of his stylish black coat, sunglasses, and super slow motion gravity defying kung fu fight scenes.

NEO Scavenger Review | IGN

IGN:
"I’m not sure if it was the horrible diarrhea and stomach pains that did me in, or the repeated exposure to black mold. Or the eagerness to devour myriad unidentified berries and mushrooms. Or the fact that I slurped gleefully from every stream I came across without boiling the water first. Or the wounds I incurred trying to kill a feral dog with a crowbar. Whatever the case, my first outing into the post-apocalypse of point-and-click RPG survival with NEO Scavenger left me very, very dead. But I’ll be damned if the exciting mysteries I’d started to uncover didn’t have me anxious to roll a new character with some more botanical knowledge."
