Student Project Looks Like Big-Budget Game

This is another project from Montreal's NAD—the National Animation and Design Center—completed in fourteen weeks by a group of seven students, using Unreal Engine 4. It's called "Trailed," and it's about a woman trying to survive in what appears to be a post-apocalyptic wilderness.

The story is too old to be commented.

Graphics are only one component of what a game is, and quite a meaningless one, is said game isn't that good,

The walking animation looks too floaty and needs some work but it does look nice.

If this looks like a big-budget game then I'm a millionaire.

Agreed, it looks like a cheap close of TLOU or 2013 Tomb Raider, with graphics that aren't even up there with a 7th gen console game.
When small teams of Indie developers are making games like No Man's Sky, WiLD, Rime and so on this isn't very impressive.

The whole "post-apocalyptic" thing is a bit over used, unless you can do it well like in a TV series like TWD or TLOU's emotional style then IMO you should just leave it alone.

Trailed just seems like a weak, soulless ripoff too me. Maybe the studio can improve things as they go on, but until they do I remain unimpressed.

Those "small" teams have at least 10-15 people and usually more money than these students.
