IM PLAYIN discuss the repetitiveness of Destiny.
I've had a hard time doing so, i guess the need to keep up with everyone else is what keeps me playing..
That, the daily bounties, and the weekly reset.
After over 100 hours, I had no desire to stop playing Destiny. It's like a drug. I made myself play something else. Started playing Call of Duty. Now I'm playing Little Big Planet 3. My friends keep sending me invitations for raids, but I'm just like, I gotta experience everything else in the gaming world too. I still haven't played Dragon Age, Far Cry 4, Shadow of Mordor and everything else on my must play list. There were too many great games releasing within a couple months of each other.
I have Shadow of Mordor, played it for one night, love it, but since then I can't stop myself from playing Destiny instead.
I did...and could never pick it back up It was like Mjölnir
So you weren't worthy enough to pick it back up again?
I don't think the game was worthy enough to be played. Soon as I popped in another game I was good to go
How long will this second wind last for? I’m not so sure. As for me, Destiny is just one of the games I need to take breaks from in order to ensure I don’t trade it in. Actually for me i tend to do this Alot when i play a game alot the buzz starts to ware bit thin yet more games keep comming then i find myself playing other games. My point is time to time ill go back to a old game i find it refreshing get back abit of that Buzz. Destiny gets slammed ALOT to me its not a bad game its not the worst Game it is a growing game but certainly not my game of 2014 but I certainly be holding on to it.
near 400 hrs play time this impresses and yet depresses me :-/
lol. You may need help.
Why it's a good idea for you to shut the hell up and let me play as much as I want...
I put it down forever. It was a great idea.
Just wait until you try an actual fully fleshed out mmo, the missions and pvp in destiny are simply just lacking.
Destiny isn't an MMO.
Thats the thing, it is not a MMO but it TRIES to be an MMO. It TRIES to have an open world map, It TRIES to make players grind for better tier gear, It TRIES to do a lot of things MMORPGs offer but fails so fucking hard.
Well, I've followed the game since pre-launch, and I recall the developers saying repeatedly that it's an action FPS. Not an MMO. Not an RPG. It borrows elements from many genres, but it's an action FPS. It may not be a perfect game, but 3 million people play daily. They can't all be wrong.
After 250 hours of game time, I put it down a few days before the launch of the newest DLC and never went back. Best decision I have made.
Soon as MCC and Sunset came out I was good. The Dark Below... Won't even bother.
I quit playing it less than 2 weeks after launch, I just found it too repetitive and light on actual content.
It's good to put the crack pipe down every once in a while because it'll rot your teeth out among other horrendous things. Seriously though... it's hard. I've just now been into Crota's End twice, and I have the raid boots, gloves, and the Song of Ir Yut machine gun. They are dangling the carrot too hard for me to stop now!!
