Naughty Dog should keep the style and pacing of the original. If they make the sequel faster and dumber, it's going to disappoint the fans.
It's Naughty Dog we are talking about. Every game they release is a huge improvement over the previous one. TLOU won't be exception.
*cough* Uncharted 3
I'm not understanding the disagrees. Uncharted 3 didn't live up to the standards of Uncharted 2... Edit: Dear lord. Don't tell me people actually think Uncharted 3 was better than 2.
U make it sound like Uncharted 3 was a bad game lol. Just because it didnt exceed Uncharted 2, it was still an amazing game. Heck i will say it was my least favorite in the series but the game was still awesome. Didnt really like the MP compared to UC2 but it was still an all around awesome game.
UC 3 is a fantastic game. It's just that the improvement was more significant between UC and UC 2 (it was as if the first episode was a sketch set to define what the franchise was supposed to become).
Uncharted 3 could've been better than 2 if it wasn't rushed. The desert section which is supposed to be the main location of the game only took 5 chapters out of 22. The entire section felt like the game just wanted to reach the climax as soon as possible.I believe ND once said that they wished they haven't revealed the release date too early. This doesn't seem to be the case for Uncharted 4 so I'm confident that it would be their best Uncharted game so far.
The guys making uncharted 4 weren't involved with uncharted 3. They moved from making uncharted 2 onto the last of us.
There was nothing wrong with Uncharted 3, in many ways I like it more than UC2 like the better stealth sections, but it just didn't wow us like part 2 did so many seen it a failure. It's not really fair because it's a fantastic game in it's own right. If UC2 never existed part 3 would likely be heralded as one if the best games in the genre.
*cough* Uncharted 3 was spectacular even if it wasnt as good as 2
I thought the game play of UC3 was better in some places, but the story wasn't as good as UC2. I wasn't disappointed in UC3 at all however.
I came on here to post just about the same exact thing. You took the words out of my keyboard. The game will at least be as good as the first one.
I doubt Naughty Dog would do that. They're not a company that seems to follow the "more is better" approach. They're more a "better is better" developer.
Just let Naughty Dog do what they do. Sony chose them to be first party for a reason. I'm not worried about the game being dumbed down or being made to cater to casual gamers.
Basically they just shouldn't sell-out and make the sequel with a newer more casual audience in mind. Naughty Dog, just don't pull a "Resistance 2" like Insomniac did and you'll be fine.
I think ND knows what their doing. Dont need a game site to give their 2 cents of how to make a game better especially when were talking about the best devs in the business. Keep your 2 cents for games that need to improve.
Its their game. Let them decide what they do with it.
I'm hoping they add a wall run and a double jump.
I think it's time to take off the fanboy glasses.UC3 was a major letdown.
Hyperbole. The most negative thing one could about U3 I could take seriously is that after the jump from the first game to U2, the jump to U3 wasn't as impressive. U3 could have taken U2 spot and you would be saying U2 was the let down.
ND does not need advice from 2nd rate journalists
I agree. Screw the CoD crowd if they don't get it. There's plenty of other games for them to play like, oh I don't know, CoD. One guy the other day was in here actually saying Last of Us 2 needed less STEALTH! Can you believe that? I hope he never gets a job with any power .
Think if Naughty Dog made a CoD game... WOW, I might actually buy a CoD game again.
Naughty Dog wouldn't touch a mindless shooter. That would be about as appealing to them as suffering with butt cancer.
Chill bro, it's Naughty Dog. In Naughty Dog we trust.
