It Only Took $7,000 To Build This LEGO Halo Spaceship

The iconic "Pillar of Autumn" from Halo, now in LEGO form. And it's damn huge—not exactly minifigure-scale, needing more than one person to move it.

The story is too old to be commented.

Always amazed by what some people can do with Legos.

That is alot of money invested to create such an amazing piece!

Some people will never.. 'LEGO' of their hobbies! *smirk*

Yeah I remember as a kid I got my dads old Meccano set from when he was a kid.

Legit metal parts, nuts n bolts, cogs and rubber band pulley belts.

That was the best stuff I ever played with.

Made a fully functional digger with my dad.
Good times.

But it sucked because the nuts and bolts kept falling through the spaces in our floor boards.

There would be a treasure trove of Meccano under the floor boards of my old house.

And it only cost LEGO $7 in plastic.

So true. Luckily, there's a decent knockoff brand or two when buying for the nieces and nephews :)

creeping judas1089d ago

Yeah, but do you want to be that uncle?

SilentNegotiator1089d ago

Megabloks and Legos are fairly compatible, so what's the big deal?

creeping judas1089d ago (Edited 1089d ago )

@silent, you had it at fairly compatible, Lego is king with kids, Megablocks is the inferior product. Just saying to give you the Uncle + bonus points!! My kid got Megablocks from his uncle last Xmas and he wasnt impressed!

That's it? Totally worth it...

I'm doing a lot of Star Wars Lego with my boy which is pretty immense fun. But this is sooooooooooooooooooo A W E S O M E.
But $7000 seems a itsy bitsy bit steep.

My son is into to Lego also, I told him this took three and a half years to make. He felt he could do it in half of that time!!
But sadly Daddy ain't going to be spending $7k on Lego for Christmas!!

I like his enthusiasm though :)
And he would probably be right if put in a room with all the pieces he needed.
Ah, what parent wouldn't give their right arm for an endless supply of Lego?

BABY-JEDI1089d ago

I'm just curious what the rest of the guys house is like? Maybe it is the Lego movie set LoL

billybehr1089d ago

The instruction booklet would probably be as thick as a Haynes automotive reference/tech manual haha.
