Four celebrities join Advanced Warfare

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare already has Kevin Spacey as the mastermind, Jonathan Irons, of the Atlas Corporation. The first chapter of Exo Zombies adds four more stars to the cast; the legendary John Malkovich, Bill Paxton (Aliens, Apollo 13, Titanic), actress and singer, Rose McGowan (Charmed, Grindhouse), and Jon Berntha from the TV series, The Walking Dead (he played Shane Walsh).

The four stars are rookie Atlas employees and they are abandoned to face super zombies... "Untrained and unprepared, four Atlas employees must survive a horror unlike any other.

The story is too old to be commented.

What a great lineup! Activision pulling out all the stops

They've really redeemed themselves in my book with this edition of COD.

I agree, Exo Zombies mode is sounding fantastic with Malkovich in the trailer

Sillicur1091d ago

They sure did! I had my doubts but after seeing AW in action, Activision has made a great game.

Wasting that money on celebrities... morons who have no place within games. Okay sure they can add a bit but I don't think it benefits the game when they just skyrocket a games budget. Luckily for Activision they have it but its still lame. I'm sure the employees would rather see that money instead. Of course that same money could be used for improving/ polishing the game/ more content before release.

I am sure they have a budget allocated for this :P It's not bad for gaming to draw more celebs. What about it is so bad for you? This means wider exposure for gaming.

Sillicur1091d ago

Exactly, its good for gaming, especially if budget isnt really an issue in the case of Activi$ion

I can see your point as I stated somewhat lol. Anyways I'm saying that celebrities usually overshadow the developers work. If the game is going to be grand, then let their work speak for itself. There is no need for celebrities, because mixing them in with the hype (marketing) machine, can lead to selling millions of a garbage game.

Mmm... Kevin Spacey was fantastic but I'm not all that sure about these actors. Sure, if they were fans of the game and were given honorary features as NPCs, but if Activision paid them to appear, I'm not so sure how I feel about it.

Other than John Malkovich the rest are a bit... meh.

Sillicur1091d ago

I kinda like them all :) Should be good!!!

Scatpants1090d ago

That's how actors work, you pay them, they perform.

lord zaid1091d ago

That's interesting. I guess.
