2014 was a massive year for gamers. This was the year that was all about the video game releases seeing how that the next generation consoles are out and readily available worldwide. Publishers and developers alike blew their games out of per-portion in a sense that almost everything seemed to be AAA title worthy. From small indie titles to blockbuster hits that massive amounts of money was sunk into, so much hype went into these video games in particular.
Zenimax Online Studios, the developer behind The Elder Scrolls Online, is currently working on a brand new engine for a multiplatform title.
"It’s really special to be at the ten year anniversary."
Wccftech checked out the new Scribing system coming to Elder Scrolls Online with Gold Road and interviewed Creative Director Rich Lambert.
I played Watchdogs, Destiny and ESO, but didn't have a chance to try the last two.
I would say Watchdogs was okay, granted it may not have lived up to the hype but I found the experience fun. Destiny was a letdown but I realize other people enjoy it. And honestly, I have nothing kind to say about ESO.
Thief deserves to be on that list more than Destiny does.
For me, Destiny is up there. It's not that the game is blantantly horrendous, or even "bad", just a middling, average mildly enjoyable diversion coming from a company that can do far better.
I bought the Destiny PS4 bundle, and have put a good chunk of time in it, and when I was done with the game, and turned the system off, I didn't feel compelled to turn it back on again.
I know, in the days of both Halo 2 and 3, I was hooked.
I was expecting that same addicting gameplay from Destiny.
Hell, I actually expected "Halo-meets-Borderlands&q uot; which is exactly how they advertised it, and came away with a very bad taste in my mouth.
#1) Destiny, easily. I have never seen a more overhyped, mediocre game in my life.
#2) Driveclub. Banded AI, Online oriented game with broken online.
#3) MCC. Its inexcusable for 343 to release something in this condition online.
#4) KZSF. My favorite games on my PS3 and completely mediocre on my PS4. Its a big reason I sold it.
#5) Watchdogs. From the visuals to the gameplay it just stinks of mediocrity. Not to mention the gimped PC version that had a first day mod to unlock code already there that improved the visuals and the framerate.
Honestly the amount of overhyped games this year could go on and on. With the exception of a few great games it hasn't been a good year in my opinion.
Getting tired of people putting Watch Dogs on these lists instead of Thief. I mean come on people. Watch Dogs was NOT that bad.
