I believe Gran Turismo 7 and God of War 4 have potential to sell as highly as Uncharted 4. But if there is a The Last of Us 2, THAT will be the highest selling PS4 games and likey highest selling exclusive this gen

Gran turismo appeals to a world wide audience especially in Japan and Europe. God of war appeals to mostly the U.S and the UK. Therefore, I think GT7 will sell more.

You know what surprised me is that Pachter was expecting Sony to cut the price of PS3 to $199.99 before Christmas to get them younger gamers and middle class families to get introduced to PlayStation!

And for the first time he is right!
I mean the PS2 hit $199.99 on its 2nd year. I mean, come on Sony, lower it!

GT5&GT5Prolouge is PS3's highest selling game 16 plus million units sold beating GTA V and COD on PS3.

I'm not sure, but GTAV on last gen has sold over 32 million copies. If that's evenly split between 360&PS3 then that is 16+ as well.

GT has always been Sony's biggest seller, Uncharted and TLOU are next in line and GOW is pretty close to those.
I think there will be a fight for sales between Uncharted 4 and the other none racing games.

U4 does look like it's a huge improvement over past Uncharted games, so I think it will be a huge seller for Sony, especially if Naughty Dog has included a great multi-player mode.

if GT is done right than its the best/more valueable IP to Sony. God of War 4. the last of us, Uncharted etc, also have high sales expections

I think Halo is (and always was) the highest selling exclsuive. Gran Turismo 5 sold like 11 million but 6 sold like 3 million because they didn't change much. Maybe 7 goes back up.

Xbox sold 25 or so million copies. PS2 sold 150 million. It is not fair to compare exclsuives on those 2 consoles. Halo1/2's attach rates are much higher. As for last gen, 3/Reach/4 are about the same as GT5 but 6 took a massive hit. Also H4's sales are really skewed. MS said it was the fastest selling Halo in July of 2013, something like 9 million units.

So yeah at least at one point, we'll see with GT7, Halo/GT were #1 but as of now Halo takes the cake because we can't assume how much GT7 will fair whereas H4 has roughly 5x GT6's sales.

Gran Turismo is Sony's bread & butter in terms of worldwide appeal. Even a game like GT5 & GT6 although good games but no where near as polished as previous GT installments have 13 million combined sales. So whenever GT7 comes out for the next generation it will be juggernaut in terms of sales.

Uncharted is starting to gain more worldwide appeal but still is better known for western gamers. Hopefully Uncharted 4 can breakthrough to the rest of the world & be as well known as the GT franchise.

GRAN TURISMO is still the only SONY owned IP which sold over 10 million (GT3 almost 15 million). GT1, GT3, GT4 and GT5 all sold over 10 million. TLOU has a chance to reach 10 million but that is with 2 consoles. I think GOD OF WAR peaked with GOW 3 (over 5 million) because it ended story and every future GOW will sell less.

No new GOW game will reach GOW3 sales. I much like for GOW to continue but it ended at GOW3. Sony should let it go and not milk it. Bring back Heavenly Sword for our hack and slash needs.

I predict that Farming Simulator 2016 will sell more copies than every game ever released combined. Because I am an analyst with the same level of skill as Pachter.
