This week's Japanese software sales include the debuts of Smash Wii U, Guilty Gear Xrd: Sign, and more.
Better or worse than Mario kart 8 debut? Anyway, 200,000 are ok for a Wii U title.
Show the gaming landscape in Japan. 3ds version hit a million in week one http://gamerant.com/super-s...
True. It also has like 8x the install base though.
Better. Mk8 had 180-190k i believe
No, Mario Kart debuted at 330,000 units sold.
Oh yeah you are right. Not sure where i got that number from.
3 Wii U games in the top twenty, 12 Nintendo games in the top twenty and the top 5 all Nintendo. Not bad for the Big N!
i expected more from smash
Xbone-790. Thats just sad.
This tracks 2 days of sales is 200,000 really a dissapointment? The 6th and 7th of December, Mario Kart 8 is still selling months after it's release is it so hard to fathom smash will have a similar life cycle? Name a ps4 game that has launched with over 200,000 units sold in japan on the first 2 days? you'd be hard pressed. To compare handhelds to consoles is just ridiculous as both the vita and 3ds have bigger install bases than the home consoles as they've been available for longer than any current gen home console. This is good for smash and good for Nintendo no matter how you smear or skew it!
Here we go again, 2 day syndrome.
No, its the syndrome of common sense.
Media Create track sales from Monday to Sunday. Smash was released on a Thursday. These figures track the first 4 days on sale. Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday http://www.m-create.com/ran...
You're right, it did release on a Saturday.
Thank you good sir.
People forget Wii U only have 2 million Wii U owners, how much you expect it to sell, 3 million, even if it sold 1 million that would still be too much, there never was a game that sold 50 percent meaning out of 2 million consoles, people bought 1 million copies
Not sure where u get your figures from, I'm taking it as a typo error as wii u has sold over 7 million. OT Well done Smash, excellent game.
He's only talking Japan. Global sales were around 7 million for WiiU, but might break 10 million by the end of the year, if they're lucky.
