Sarcastic Gamer dives deep into the GTA4 experience discussing every significant story intersection and plot twist, summarizing a 40 hour game in about a half hour. Spoiler abound. You've been warned.
i have beat gta:iv awhile ago, but i still play it alot because their is soo much to do. i haven't even beat mgs4 because i have been playing tf2, and gta:iv
I got bored of GTA4 about 20 mins after I completed it, I got to 97.5% complete and couldnt b arsed to search for stupid pigeons, theres no variety in the game you have 3 islands that are basically the same thing, in san andreas you had mountains, desert, city, forest, and had a much bigger replayability factor, hell ive played mgs4 more offline than ive played offline and online on gta4.
Yeah i got bored of GTA IV too...great game...but no real replay value IMO.
Lmao I fully agree with you, the pidgeons were a half assed throwback to hidden packages/tags/clamshells/horse shoes anyway. You don't even get anything for shooting all of them except for getting closer to 100% whoopie. Where's my extra weapons at the safe house for doing it? Where's the Firetruck missions to make me impervious to fire? And the other extras that made GTA a bit more charming than other open world games. After I finished GTA4 there was like nothing left for me to do that felt fun, that I feel I haven't fully experienced. Online was a blast for the first few days but it got old quickly. The friends were fun for the first few hours, they then quickly became more like a chore. I only hung out with the ones that benefited the gameplay and even still they didn't always work the way you wanted them to.
I completed the game at 66% and lend it a friend. It's quite boring really. No replay value at all.
DO any of you wodner if the PS3 Rockstar exclusive will be more a throwback to GTA from last generation? I have always had that theory since GTA4's release. It's not like GTA4 isn't a great game, maybe Rockstar just felt that all that heritage belonged firmly on the PS Brand, and getting a new IP that has the same charm as GTA, but letting the GTA name sell itself on multiplatofmr has been their plan from day 1. So the exclsuive they release may even link abck to previous GTA characters. Except it will be all new, and maybe not fre-roaming and maybe an awesome art style - not crap like GTA4.
san andreas=much better game than 4 and have tons and tons of replay value
San Andres didn't have Online gaming, that's why GTAIV Rulez
Multitheft auto baby, I've been playing online GTA since GTAII. San Andreas had online on PC and it was freaking awesome.
Depends which system you played the game on. The PC version of GTA SA was modded so we could play online. I believe it is up to 500 players online now.
This game is still sitting on shelves huh? I thought they'd have buried it beside E.T. in the desert since it sucked about as bad. Oh, wait, I actually played E.T. more than 4 times in my life. Can't say the same for GTA4.
Comparing GTA IV to the likes of the E.T. disaster. That's just bad.
Not one comment on the actual podcast itself, just a bunch of fanboys hating on or falling in love with GTA IV...
i have told you guys before... sarcastic gamer only starts flame bates
this post is for a podcast. It was a kick ass show devoted to Grand Theft Auto 4, not some flame bait article. Check out the source before posting next time? M'kay?
Ough, GTA IV.. thats just one game i'll never complete 100%, and because of the new trophy's i have to play through it again...
