The latest patch for Driveclub sees the introduction of ‘extreme weather’ to the game, which could go a long way to adding some more playability and variation to the simulation title from Evolution Studios.
Nice write up!
Nope. Ps+ version would help though.
Share Play already has helped it. Real PS4 owners know this... Nice try though. :P
Personally I'm still waiting for the free version to see if I want to buy this, either that or for it to go on sale for 20-25.
Find someone to share play with and if you absolutely can't then message me and I'll let you play it. My version is a heck of a lot better than the version you're waiting for.
Nice try? I never claimed to own a Ps4. I will when the games i want come out. So stop acting like im some hidden fanboy trying to deceive people. And no weather wont make people say " you know what I had no interest in Driveclub but now..". The Ps+ version would help sales way more than weather. I swear people just follow me and disagree with what I say even though im not saying anything bad at all.
I don't know if it will save it, as the title states, but the PS+ version might go a long way to convince people that the problems have been solved and it isn't as bad as reviews have stated. It might actually convince some to drop some money on upgrading to the full package.
Doesn't need saving bugs have been fixed so ignorant cats need to find another dead horse to beat. This is just a great content update for non trolls!
It was already the best looking driving game now it's amazing looking.
I don't think it needs salvation. The game has a solid single player/offline, and the online is stabilizing.
Saving from what? lack of demand? The fact that people are still awaiting the PS Plus version shows the demand is there. Not to mention the giant boost the game got during black friday. Sales? So far it sold more than any other game in the genre that came out this year Just what exactly does the game need saving from?
Agreed, after all the issues with it, the only way I would get it, is if the PS+ version is released so me and others can try it out, and not go blindly.
Just curious to know how do you know it outsold any game in its genre this year just curious bruh don't take it personal
@demonddel http://www.insiderp.com/dri... http://www.gamepur.com/news... No other game in the genre this year except DriveClub it the million threshold. @BitbyDeath - Sadly, nothing can be done about the court of "media opinion". Even those majority of the issues have been fixed, the media will continue to harp on about it "still being broken".
I'd still rather play horizon 2, it's more fun and it has way more races then driveclub. I've had both so I know which is better imo. Driveclub was crap that's why I got refunded my money and never looked back.
You are quoting insiderp articles in both of those links.these guys also claimed last of us remastered sold 1.5million in its first day http://www.insiderp.com/the... While Sony confirmed it took a month to hit 1 million combined sales http://hereisthecity.com/en... These guys skew the numbers worse then vgchartz and have been caught being blatant liars for clicks on more then one occasion. Not saying drive club hasn't sold more, there's a bigger install base, it should have, but saying insiderp is a troll site
That's why I just bought it.
It's a great game and it doesn't need weather to save it because is working fine now.
It sold above a million copies, doesn't need saving.
There were plenty of bad games that sold well but soured our tastes for the sequel. Saving isn't all about sales..
This game is so far from bad. It had some network issues, but those are mostly resolved. Guaranteed The sequel will not have those network issues and will look even more amazing.
The only way your taste would be soured for a sequel is if racing online is all you ever do. The single player mode of Driveclub has plenty of content, is great fun, and looks absolutely amazing. It's the best looking game so far this generation imo, even before weather was added. Online racing may have stabilized by now for all I know… that was never why I bought Driveclub. I prefer the asynchronous multiplayer stuff that worked from the moment I bought the game.
It is a fantastic racer that somehow got pigeonholed by a press hungry for news and failure. No idea why as the driving is the best I have had in a long time.
Right... and the broken state of release wasn't at all responsible for that bad press... okay
@Svinya- Even though you have a point, that still shouldn't have given DriveClub those kinds of scores when you consider other games had similar issues and still got a review score free pass, aka Halo:MCC.
Is Sony going to pull Driveclub off the selves or something? It needed saving? Dramatic much?
Amazon has DriveClub on sale for $34.99 right now. I'm tempted to buy it, but the reviews kind put me off. I wish there was a demo available
I just got my PS4 last week. completely forgot about Share Play
Yes as mrdead has said...SharePlay. I am truly amazed that so many people dont use or know about this. I have share played driveclub with friends and family that doesnt own the game and they loved it.. for example i dont own GTA V but i share play with my brother and finish missions he cant do.
buy it if you like racing games at all. its an absolute steal at that price.
Yes it will. I'm going to buy it shortly and I'm sure there are many others that want to pick this up as well
Who has a PS4 (not fake owners), and got the game, knows that it doesn't need to be saved. It plays great, it's difficult enough for those who like the challenges and the graphics are amazing. The weather added "more" to all of that. Haters are gonna hate, as usual, and always they will.
Pretty sure the report doesn't say at any point that the game is 'broken'- rather just reminds you that the launch period for Driveclub (much like so many 2014 games) was not a smooth ride. Some have lost faith in the game and need to be drawn back in. Due to Evolution's racing and rally backgrounds, you expect them to nail this update.
Is not only weather , fisic is a much different, tis game is now sim not simply arcade!
To add to the other discussion on the other Driveclub article in regards to re-reviews..... I dont believe a games score should be changed after certain things come out broken and they are fixed. What i do believe is that games should be revisited after patches and fixes have been implemented so gamers can know the state of the game after devs right their wrongs. Its a disservice to gamers if a great game like DC gets say a 6 on release because of a broken online and then months pass by, it has been fixed and consumers dont know that now this game is easily a 9. You know how many ppl will pass on this game thinking its mediocre based on initial review scores and never know the beauty it has become, thats a travesty. I dont want the initial score to change bcus if a dev messes up they mess up, i just think a second revisiting with a follow up score should be done even if it doesn't count in the meta. Even with the broken online initially i thougt the game was a solid 8 because sp looked and played great but now with the patch and weather its like a 9.2 to me! Excellent racer!
