Razer Announces New Kraken Gaming Headset for Xbox One

Razer has announced the availability of its new gaming headset for the Xbox One, which is called the Kraken.

The Kraken sports 40mm neodymium magnet drivers to offer clear tones at the mid and high ranges, as well as the deep bass tones. The ear pads feature plush circumaural padding that creates a tight seal around your ears to provide the best sound experience possible while gaming. The headset also has a unidirectional mic that can be folded up when not in use. A dongle will also come with the Kraken so it can be plugged into the Xbox One controller. The dongle looks to offer the same features as the official MS headset dongle that it began selling last year.

I would hope your $260 headphones "destroy" these XD

I have a pair of Razor Tiamat's 7.1 for PC, I love them, especially if you have a decent dedicated sound card with 7.1 output. I have pretty high hopes for these as I am yet to invest in a decent pair of headphones for my xbox.

I love the Tiamats too, but these are not really similar. Standard fare 2.0 headphones with virtual surround, and with smaller drivers than most of their identikit rivals.

Agreed but still, Razer headphones imo can produce good quality sound whatever price bracket.

I was looking to get some turtle beach headphones but from past experience, you need to spend at least £150 on a pair to be satisfied with both audio and mic quality.

I hope these deliver a great experience on both at a reasonable price
