Guerrilla Games Categorically Refuses to Answer About New PS4 IP "Horizon" at PlayStation Experience

You’ve known for the longest time that Guerrrilla Games is working on a new IP, which is rumored to be an open world RPG with mecha dinosaurs code named “Horizon.”

Many expected at least a small tease at PlayStation Experience, but absolutely nothing came.

One of the attendees had the guts to ask what everyone else would have probably wanted to ask, and tried to get Guerrilla Games Studio Art Director Jan-Bart van Beek to spill the beans.

Same here. As much as I've been critical of Guerilla Games in the past and the Killzone series, there's something about GG. They obviously have a lot of talent in terms of reating visually astounding world- if they can just translate that talent and have a great game to back up incredible visuals we are in for a treat.

I'm glad they're working on a new IP. I wish them the best of luck with it.

It's the Killzone story that is my problem with that franchise. I can't relate to the characters in it at all. Technically though, they are an excellent studio.

Can agree to that.

Guerrilla have been tied to Killzone out of their own passion or per Sony's requests for years. They've obviously tried very hard to make the most of what they created with it, but I think the lore will always be more interesting than the game and the way it is executed.

I really do like the series, but Killzone 2 was its peak. I still think that was an absolutely amazing game and their best work.

I think a fresh IP is just what they need. It's the same way I feel about Santa Monica and God of War (reboot that shiz). From what we've seen from Horizon, it could either be a really grounded sci-fi RPG that just has awesome gameplay, or it could be an off-the-wall crazy experience like Sunset Overdrive that doesn't take itself too seriously. We don't know but I've got a feeling that all the elements will come together for Horizon.

They've already got John Gonzalez from Fallout New Vegas penning the game, so that's a fantastic start. Their artists, designers, coders, all extremely talented, so they just need all the elements to combine in the right way.

LooL. Good move. You don't want to get annoyed by this stupid community of "gamers", like they're doing it now w/ UC4 gameplay reveal.

Always whining about wanting to see trailer/gameplay. And when they're shown they then complain about it not being as good as they imagined... getting rid of the fact the game is still years from release...
