An opinion about the recent updated news for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and why it's OK.
I generally like the way CD Projekt Red conducts themselves.
I as well! I have great expectations for this game! I can't wait for it to release!
Good on you cd project this will benifit gamers and give me a chance to play the upcoming games from now to march. Too many great games coming out and not enough hours in the day!! Long live gamers
how many other games have been delayed previously for the stated reasons of "oh we're not done yet need more time to spit and shine" and yet still come out as pieces of crap. not saying CD Projekt Red are doing this but this isn't the first time this reason has been utilised and sure as hell won't be the last time
I don't mind the delay either, considering how companies release broken games these days. Not to mention this game is of massive scale, so things like bugs could vary from small to larger problems. I just hope they learn from this game, that reveals and release dates should be thought about more, so whatever title doesn't lose too much hype before release. Think about it before promising something with Cyberpunk 2077.
This delay doesn't warrant flawless product.
I came here exactly to comment: Shouldn't we wait for them to release it before we claim it'll really be a finished product?
Very true. Also, as much as we all love CD Projekt, the delay could also signify that the game isn't all it was made out to be. This was the case with a bunch of games a while back. Still, CD Projekt have earned our trust as customers, so they do indeed deserve to have their word taken for what it is.
I completely agree, since the start of the PS3/Xbox 360 generation it appears that unfinished products with demand to meet developers release date priority took over the quality assurance.. We can always let the gamers spend hours on the game they purchased and let them be frustrated. We can always patch the game, right? At this point in time with current generation, the glitches, bugs and general unpolished product have reach new low in my opinion, to the point where I don't even bother purchasing the game on the release date anymore. Might as well wait until the game is more stable. As for CD Project, to me - it's the same with every company, words are nice, but the final product will be a judge for me if the game is solid to their claims. Time will tell, I can't help it but to be cautious this days..
