Four Reasons Why Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's PS4 Demo Blew Us Away

Push Square: "Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was always going to put in an appearance during Sony’s big PlayStation Experience keynote over the weekend, but we actually ended up with more than we bargained for. We were confident that the conference would play host to at least a cut-scene from Naughty Dog’s forthcoming foray, but instead we were treated to 15 minutes of raw gameplay footage. And while it didn’t quite drop jaws to the same degree as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves’ now legendary E3 demo, it still managed to surpass our expectations. Here’s why."

One reason for me....... Naughty Dog.

Just to think, this game is still a year away from release..... One of the reasons i bought a PS4.

- The grappling hook
- better stealth elements
- better melee, gunplay
- the environments being so open, explorable, and beautiful
- Enemy AI improved, and enemies can jump to different cliffs, sorta like Drake
- the graphics
- voice acting
- Nathan's funny comments are back like "The gangs all here" when he saw all the enemies in the demo

Seeing the enemies jump cliffs was the most impressive thing in the demo IMO. I can't think of any other game I've played that has that.

Gameplaywise, UC4 will be the biggest leap in the franchise from what I saw in the demo.

"Little Brother."

Huge,

bet Sully does not get along with him, and warns Drake not to get mixed up with him...maybe antagonist?

I was thinking the same thing, maybe he is the Thief that is mentioned in the title? Maybe they go after a treasure or something and the brother betrays Nathan?

Maybe this was from early in the game and later Drake's bro launches into that monologue about 17 years in the hellhole (from the first teaser) and reveals that he was commanding the pirates the whole time and it was all a ploy to get to what Drake loved the most. He could be a complete psychopath because he's willing to shoot his own men to maintain the rouse and was driven crazy by being stuck on the island prison so long.

The overall execution of U4 is by far the best I've seen in a video game. Every motion was fast paced which made the action intense. The animation are incredible, it had first and secondary motion in the game. The belt swinging after he moves his body around add a sense of realism. The soundtrack fit the game like a glove. Can't wait to see more game play footage at e3.
