"As much fun as Lara Croft’s Tomb Raider reboot was, it didn’t exactly have the, well, tomb raiding one would expect from the title. Oh sure it was her origin story and she didn’t have that love for tomb running her earlier games clearly have and blah blah blah, but if tomb raiding is what you crave from Ms. Croft, Crystal Dynamics’ top-down games have you covered by the sarcophagus. In their second entry in this series, Lara Croft raids the tomb of Egyptian mythology’s most famous pharaoh/god, Osiris. She and an archeological rival, Carter, race through Osiris’ tomb to track down his Staff, and as a result, they get captured in the oldest and perhaps most overused Egyptian tale to date. Lara and Carter have to work together with two other Egyptian gods to get out alive, which also forces players to find friends and tackle the tomb raiding together in a puzzle-solving/action hybrid that is deeply hampered by camera problems that make the co-op split screen in the LEGO games look like genius."
