I'm 27 years old and I have a serious Amiibo addiction

James O'Connor of MMGN: I turned 27 this week, and am a fully-fledged adult who is fast becoming aware of how soon he’ll be middle aged. Yet I have sat both my mother and my girlfriend down this week and explained to them that for Christmas I would like little plastic toys depicting Nintendo characters, thank you very much, and I didn’t feel particularly embarrassed doing so.

I think many gamers wanted collectibles of Nintendo since the beginning, Nintendo has always been important for many gamers during years, since childhood.
I'm having the same addiction too.

its these damn collect them all attitude which these corporates are so good at selling.

i blame pokemon. i mean back then i didnt want to buy every toy in a collection, just my favourite ones but im guessing for these amiibos, skylanders and infinity its somehow persuading people to get them all.

maybe its the physical version of free-to-play mentality.
