Valkyria Chronicles Review (PC) - Worlds Factory

Worlds Factory: Originally a PS3 exclusive, Valkyria Chronicles was met with stellar reviews when it launched back in 2009. Among all the praises, what made Valkyria Chronicles stand out was its unique mix of the European WWII era and Japanese anime aesthetic which, coupled with an immersive story not scared to explore darker themes and a diverse, charismatic cast, made this journey an unforgettable experience. The combat system was also a big talking point, as the game works in a classic turn-based fashion not unlike the X-Com games but allowing the player to directly control each character as if playing a third person shooter. On paper, this sounds like it can translate well on PC and, despite a few issues, it seems like Sega succeeded in bringing yet another Japanese gem to the PC, a territory still mostly unexplored for them.
