ADR1FT Confirmed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

VRFocus - Earlier in the week it was revealed that upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible adventure title ADR1FT would be showcased at the next Virtual Reality Los Angeles (VRLA) Meetup event next weekend. Developer Three One Zero isn’t waiting until then to reveal some big news for the experience, however. The team has today announced that ADR1FT will also be coming to PlayStation 4 as well as the Xbox One. Support for the Project Morpheus head-mounted display (HMD) on the former platform is yet to be confirmed.

The story is too old to be commented.

Ok. M$ has some explaining to do. How exactly do you play VR games on X1? Spill the beans Spencer!

Bodge1019d ago

How do you play VR games on a console PERIOD? The games would have to be Minecraft level of graphics in order to not cause you to vomit.

Yeah this gen isn't made for vr, you need to output two 1080p images and that just isn't possible at a decent image quality and fps. Wouldn't we also need two Hdmi outputs for that?

...not really bud. The game isn't just made solely for VR clearly. Thus, VR is a feature, it isn't the whole game.

and please STFU with this you "need" crap.

No you very much don't.

Want vs Need are 2 very different things.

Say that to the Wii that pushed 100 million units without 1080p.

VR will be nice with that......doesn't "need" that.

I'm not sure you know what "decent image quality" for VR.

Non-1080p doesn't just = garbage. They'll be fine..

Are you serious? VR already works fairly well on cell phones. I use Google Cardboard all the time.

I think the PS4 and XBO will suffice.

Wow you guys are so aggressive and quick to jump on the defensive.

When they were showing off their VR tech Both Oculus Rift and Project Morpheus were running at 1080p, that's why I said the consoles would need to be capable of pushing this resolution. I didn't just come with it off the top of my head and state some random need that wasn't based on the current facts, lol.

So yes it is a need unless Sony are going to massively downgrade from what they already shown, if anything most people agreed it could have done with being higher due to the nature of the device and the fact you have the screens almost touching your eyeballs, that is a WANT. This is very different from viewing a wii image from 6ft away, how can you even make a comparison it's just so massively different.

Edit: also a lower SD image that's laggy has shown to cause more nausea in people.

KwietStorm1019d ago

That makes absolutely no sense.

theshonen88991019d ago

You people realize that we already have split screen games outputting two different images right? The problem isn't two images, it's 60 fps. With VR 60 fps is almost mandatory otherwise it'll cause motion sickness from all inconsistency.

Also, I'm pretty sure Adrift isn't VR exclusive. Otherwise it'll sell the opposite of hotcakes.

telekineticmantis1019d ago

Actually from the firsthand impressions, it's quite the opposite, most say the more detailed the image, the smoother the experience, and Sony claims, the morpheus helps with the processing power.

medman1019d ago

Poor Bodge. Stuck in a world where his limited intellect can't grasp what Sony engineers are capable of. Sony has always built quality hardware, if they produce Morpheus VR, it will be no different than any other product they produce, it will be quality. Now go back to your cave, lay down, and pray for brains.
