Despite many compelling arguments, Ubisoft and EA continue to be two distinct videogame publishers.
I know right they are like "$40 micro-transaction"...real ly?
They have more expensive ones too.
There is a $99 for AC Unity.
How many companies has Ubisoft bought and shut down? How much liberal politics plague their games? Remind me about all those "homophobic oil executives" who just hate? As bad as Ubisoft has gotten they have not surpassed EA. AC Unity adopters are getting a free game. What are Battlefield 4 players getting? Another DLC.
@NerdStar7 You, sir, get a bubble.
Both suck and are releasing shitty games and are like the Michael Bay of video games. Their games have big explosion but often (not always!) no substance at all.
Have you played ANY ubisoft game ever? Doesnt seem like it. Yes, lets forget Valiant Hearts, I Am Alive, Rayman Origins/Legends, Child of Light, and many other great non AC titles like the Tom Clancy range or the Far Cry games. But no, screw Ubisoft coz thats what all the cool kids are doing!
I'm thinking that's why he included the (NOT ALWAYS!) ....just a thought..... ;-)
I play video games since the mid eighties and have around 40 Ubisoft games at home. However, since a couple of years they are simply not the same company they were before. For gems like Rayman, Child of Light and maybe FarCry 4 this year you have the uninspired Watch_Dogs, the Assassins Creed series, terrible review embargos and their games are getting more bugs with every year it seems.
The ubisoft of the ps2 generation and the ubisoft of today are so different to me, its crazy to think they are the same company. With their thousand man teams, a lot of their games really lack soul in my opinion.
Holy crap this!!!!. Their products seems like these souless structured games, is not a work of art or inspirational, its like going to mcdonalds its never great, just gets the job done. Truly sad
It isn't, JUST YET.
they're pimping of Assassin Creed is getting out of hand most definitely. But other than that I don't see them being as bad as EA. It's not just the games EA put out that made people recognize them as a bad company, remember is was a long list of things. How they over worked their QA How they bought up smaller companies How they ran these small companies into the ground and made them close their doors How they ruined multiple franchises The extreme lay offs and turn overs Ubi (i don't think) hasn't had any of that bad juju hanging over them.
No they're not Ea but they're just worst. After watchdog, I vowed to not purchase anymore Ubi$oft games but AC Parity and FC4 caught my attention to the point I pre ordered both but after the whole Assassins creed debacle I remembered my vow and cancelled both pre orders I'll eventually get Far cry 4 in the future but as for AC Unity I'll pass.
no but they're both terrible.
"Headline is not a joke. Despite many compelling arguments, the headline and the joke continue to be two distinct entities."
EA doesn't seem nearly as bad as Ubisoft, especially after starting EA Access.
Oh really? Thanks for this great info xp
They can fuse together and create the primeevil of publishers. EASoft And the day that happens is when the gaming apocalypse will happen. Jokes aside lately Ubisoft has been really shoddy with the technical side of their games. Hopefully they will get their act together and insure that they dont release broken titles at launch.
Pls drop Uplay Ubisoft.
