Here are the top 5 games that must be announced at Playstation Experience.
If you are expecting a TLOU 2 announcement you are going to have a bad time. I wouldnt expect an announcement until December next year or E3 2016, with a release of 2017, if there is a TLOU 2.
I think that TLOU was such a definitive game that any return to the story will only end up coming up wanting. It's not like Uncharted, where Drake has any number of adventures and stories that he can be placed in and it will turn out okay. The Last of Us was THE story of those characters and of their lives. Anything beyond what we've already seen will either diminish the original if it's better (however unlikely that may be) or pale in comparison (most likely). Neither is a good option.
Seems like they are both young and have to live out their lives in a challenging environment. Maybe they could be central to changing the situation for good. Unless they just lived out their lives in the woods and it was uneventful...I wouldn't challenge that and then we wouldn't need a sequel.
@trauma I'm sure that they could come up with stories that take place after (or even before) the original game and do a great job with them. I just think that part of the beauty of the game is the mystery of the past (we know snippets of each character's lives since the outbreak, but not everything by a long shot) and the uncertainty of the future. Sometimes the most effective story is the vertical slice of a period of time. That way, your mind can focus on the greatness of what is focused on, while still letting your imagination fill in the blanks for what is left unsaid.
1. Don't care. Release when it's ready. 2. No. 3. Absolutely. 4. Given up on it. 5. Don't care. Have no plans to ever use it.
I have to agree with your list, Cgood.
lol not going to give this site my money with a click it doesn't have to have anything, sony didnt have to do this, its just a fanservice event.
The competition is getting tough with all the crazy deals that they are offering for their system so in a way they needed to do this. I'm sure Sony will do more than enough to have a fantastic event and give even more reasons for people to buy a PS4.
Your right I also think this is to show fans why they bought a PS4 since it seems like there are no games for it. They will show that they have huge plans for people who have the system and since IMO VR can only win via word of mouth if you have more than just devs talking about how good Morpheus is that can get more people talking about it I honestly do not see why so many people are so hostile towards new tech. I also can't wait to see what exclusive will be making people mad I think it is No Man Sky.
My top announcements would be: - the new Guerilla game - no mans sky - ubcharted 4 - the division (if only) - and maybe some new multiplayer game I can play with my friends, Im done with destiny lol
this guy is gonna be disappointed
Metal Gear Solid Online - Friday :) No man's sky - can't wait The Last Guardian - yes, yes, yes The Last of Us 2 - have to be... Final Fantasy XV - come on, how long we can wait
All of this will happen except tlou 2. I don't see an announcement like that happening until late next year at the earliest.
The PlayStation Experience was not even on the radar, it was a surprise, and now suddenly it "must have" certain announcement? Sorry, but this is just a celebration of the 20th anniversary. Don't put irrational expectations so you can then write negative click bait articles about how the PS Experience "disappoints".
