Personally I liked the Resident Evil and Final Fantasy IX artworks some of the best, but it was great seeing that Bust A Groove was remembered as well.

Why are people so stupid when it comes to the first PlayStation. The first iteration was called PlayStation. The second iteration was called PlayStation One. Last but not least the PS and PS One have nothing to do with the PSX which was a PS2 with a XMB menu. This is a pet peeve of mine that will probably continue forever since people continue to call a PlayStation a PlayStation X.

Now that I have read the article what freaks me out even more is the fact MediEvil is not mentioned I mean come on you included so many great games like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, The Legend of Dragoon, Ape Escape, and so many more. But no MediEvil... :(

I also wonder how people came about calling the PS / PS One the PSX. PSX was Japan only and like you say was a PS2 (a GIANT PS2) with DVR capabilities.

Only Nintendo fanboys loves to mention that name for feeling insecure about what should have happened between Sony x Nintendo in the past , can you feel the BURN

PSX was and still is the original name for the first grey Playstation that came out back in 1995. it wasn't until the revised vesion of the Playstation (PSOne) that the original playstation got rebranded to simply PS dropping the X. a few months before Sony released the PSOne the Playstation2 came out as the PS2 so it only made sense to drop the X from the PSX. if you take a look at game commercials, ads and even E3 footage from the 90's you will see that the original Playstation was PSX. The Japan only PS2 DVR is called PSX in commemoration of the first original Playstation.

I looked up one of the early PlayStation commercials and did not see PSX anywhere. Also the official abreviation is PS according to wikipedia.

Hoffmann1389d ago

Because we called the Playstation 1 PSX many years before Sony used the name officially.

Nobody of the artists wanted to illustrate MediEvil..I would have prefered to have the game in this tribute as well.
