Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare sold more copies on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the UK last week than either PS4 or Xbox One, according to figures revealed by GFK Chart-Track.
Still a lot of people trying to squeeze more value out of the older machines. Don't see why not either.
Higher install base of the previous generation should guarantee higher sales at the moment. Unfortunately, this is the same reason why developers are still making cross generation games. As the current generation grows we will see a much more prominent shift to current generation only. Batman should (hopefully) help push current generation install base higher. However, exclusives such as Bloodborne, the Order 1886 and Uncharted 4 should also help a lot too.
The install base is substantially bigger after all.
Looks like Xbox is still the place for COD, no matter what gen. That's amazing considering the difference in install base.
