Is Grand Theft Auto V Worth Getting on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One?
its good on ps4,im enjoyng it so much more than on 360. but i have gone back to 3rd person because 1st person is clunky and too many times its caused me to die. also on ps4 there is huge texture pop and texture flicker even when walking that i didnt see in the videos prerelease lol. Oh and online is really annoying me with how it works, in party with friend and trying to do missions i have toinvite him every time and then after mission it puts us in seperate sessions in freeroam. its stupid
Really? I've seen a good bit of GTA V PS4 gameplay, and I never saw anything like that. If it is actually an issue, I sure hope Rockstar fixes it soon. I was going to pick up a copy of GTA V with my PS4 in the next 2-3 months.
ive been playing for 20 hrs and ive seen no no texture popping on ps4 but yeah online is a mess. half the time the game throws me into empty lobbies and the rest of the time it wont connect. i cant get the returning bonus, and only franklin got the preorder money
it's definitely more worthy of buying than FIFA15.
I dunno, what is it with this gen and online issues. It seems like a lot of games released on these new generation consoles are having online issues. Assassin creed, drive club, halo, GTAV, etc... I just wish developers would just release beta to test out these issues. As a consumer, we are dropping $60 for a game and I feel like the game is not even complete. If this is any indication, this gen will be seeing a lot of day one patches, which in my opinion is a bad thing.
I have had that happen to me once or twice. The best thing to do is start a private session with your friend, that way you both go back into your own private session you had made. This seems to work for me anyway.
Dont forget the extra DS4 features R* implemented, they make a huge difference.
I've had the ps4 version since release and I can confirm there is zero texture pop in or flickering. A shadow or two might flicker rarely between cut scene camera angle changes, but that's it.
"also on ps4 there is huge texture pop and texture flicker" I sort of agree about 1st person mode, I rarely use it if I have something to do in the game, but I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about with this quoted part.
really havent noticed it? things like windows flicker, its not right next to my character but in distance . i think its the change from a distant texture to a more detailed one but its defo noticable on mine and when flying helicopter there is bushes popping up. if nobody else if suffering from it though then i might delete it and reinstal. infact im not the only person http://gtaforums.com/topic/... the fact im playing on a 106" projector shoudnt make a difference surely?
"really havent noticed it?" It's not there to notice with my copy on my PS4. I played through the game on PS3 so I've been taking my time with the new version, often just walking or driving around and looking at the world. If it was happening I'd have seen it. I don't know why using a projector would cause that but you might as well try your reinstall idea.
Haven't had any of those problems except online, takes forever to get into a lobby also the FPS in online chugs pretty hardcore I notice. Other than that it's been good.
It's worth getting on PC if you have a rig that can run it properly.
You do know that it's still 2 months until the PC version is out and we haven't seen anything of it yet, right?
Why is this still being asked?
I think Sleeping Dogs DE is enough reason to own a PS4.
NO, 60 dollars, for a re-release, without any substantial added content, it's a ripoff.l
Good thing there's substantial content added then.
Black Friday weekend, most retailers sold it for $30
Giant Bombcast reported around 3000 new animations for the first person stuff alone. So yeah...
If you haven't bought it yet then yes, if you love the game last gen n couldn't get enough of it then yes if you didn't finish the campaign n got sick of grinding mp then wait for a sale.
I'd say it's worth getting if you skipped it on 360/PS3 and I'd also say double dip if you're a GTA die hard. However, I won't be picking it up again for next gen as it just doesn't offer enough for my liking (my opinion...). Never really been a fan of GTA online but LOVED the single player since 3. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ personal preference I guess
Not for $60.
It's a fun game to blow off steam in, now I won't have to turn my 360 back on if I wanna play this. Should have released all versions the same year instead of making people buy it twice. Greedy rockstar and 2k
But then it wouldn't be as good on the Xbox One due to the issues that developers had with the first SDK. I think its positive that they delayed it that way each version turned out extremely well.
Just to quote the death of the universe. "YES"
For me it's a "YES" I've been holding off TLOU, GTA5, til I got my ps4 and have bought these games since release on the ps4 and have enjoyed them Worth it for me since its an upgrade from ps3
I own the PS3/4 version and didn't see a huge differences in the remaster version. I don't think it worth the same 60 bucks. I do hope rock star releases more single players DLC in the future.
Waiting for it to hit PC, unless my GF's family wants to buy me a PS4 for Xmas haaa
