Connected Digital World writes: Capcom announced Resident Evil Revelations 2 back at TGS in September and now we can share 10 minutes of gameplay with you.
Absolutely terrifying /s
It is terrifying. Terrifying to know that RE use to be one of the best survival horrors out there. As a fan of the old Evils, this looks pretty "meh". Please bring back the puzzles Capcom.
Not on Evil Within Level :)
looks pretty good to me. Revelations was big step in the right direction compared to 6
Resident Evil Revelations 2 is OK as far as the game play. nothing about this game excite me.
I stopped watching after a few minutes for several reason; Claire looks like she is completly discounted from the game world, her actions (picking stuff up, opening doors, even how she moves) never seem to quite marry up with what she is doing, like how theres no weight to her opening a door. Even 4 on the gamecube did it much better. Constant button prompts, for me they are the biggest failure of the ps3/360 generation they are everywhere now and i did need to be told how to pick up and item everytime. So i hope you can turn that off. Thief did it well as you could turn off what HUD stuff you didnt need and leave on what you wanted. The enemies look, well a bit rubbish and that they have been ripped out of rise of nightmares and coated in vaseline. Im hoping rev2 is good but i think i may end up just playing REhd when it comes out instead.
Its like watching a bad B movie which is becoming a trend with the RE series though i'll end up playing the game I always do just wish Capcom would take more from what made the earlyer games so great.
Yea, except the atmosphere and gameplay look really bad. Evil Within feels like a cheesy Bmovie but the atmosphere is the best I've seen. This looks sooo flat compared to Evil Within which is the true Resident Evil. The RE franchise is clearly Shinji's baby and this one does not feel like RE and neither did 5 or 6. RE is dying before our eyes and I hope Shinji makes a new franchise out of Evil Within.
Capcoms a sinking ship and all who sail aboard her are going down to.(Shinjis the king of survival horror can't wait to see what he does next)
To be fair, vast majority of video games have B movie level plots
Oh ok...I'll sit on this one for a few months to get some pre-RE4 fan reviews
They really should go back to the drawing board. It looks dull and clunky. No fluid animation and the graphics aren't even that impressive.
Hoping there is more to it. Enemy AI looks atrocious. Enemy just stood there by the ladder and let her shoot. I'll still get it though!
I'll wait for reviews. Looking at this though this just may be the first resident evil game that I don't play.
