Unveiled a patent filed by Nintendo at USPTO, of the intention to emulate games catalog, Game Boy on smartphones, trains and planes.
yeah...a bit late. Also we all know the selection will be just the ones we have already and a staggering 10-20 dollar pricetag each rom just for the chance of extra cash in. Which is all fair and good but they go weird when introducing old stuff..
Nintendo would never go mobile. I'm pretty sure the only reason Nintendo did this was to stop phone emulation since it's increasing popularity is only hurting them. Now they have the power to sue and get emulators on the app store removed.
But not all emulators come from the app store, and i doubt they'll be able to shut down every site that provides them...i guess it's worth trying for nintendo since they know people can get them for free they figure if they legitimize them and promote them correctly then they can squeeze out a few dollars that way.
I'm a purist. I hope it doesn't relate to Nintendo releasing their games on anything other than Nintendo hardware. Nintendo games for Nintendo consoles, that's my motto. [email protected] let Sony and Microsoft dilute their games vying for the highest bidder.
Nintendo and Sony should release all of their "old" games on smartphone. It can be emulated so they arent losing a thing
