Shirley Gwinn bowled a 233 game - and she did it without ever setting foot in a bowling alley. Gwinn joined a virtual bowling tournament that pits local senior centers against each other using the Nintendo Wii video game system.
Through this technology, players at Mizell, Joslyn, Cathedral City and Coachella Valley senior centers have formed bowling leagues and will spend the summer competing against each other. The teams have their own distinctive T-shirts and names like The Sparettes and The Strikers.
Nintendo released the $250 game console a year and a half ago. Since then, it has grabbed a far bigger demographic than most video games, likely because it isn't played like other video games.
"When it first came out, it wasn't even on our radar," said Mark Maxwell, director of programs for Mizell Senior Center in Palm Springs. "Then we started hearing more and more stories of seniors using the games, and it fit with what we're doing here."
The new Nintendo-focused emulator for the iPhone is now available with support for several classic systems.
Sued for what? It's just an emulator no ROMs are with it. ROMs are easy to get anyway, but with iPhone you can't just copy and paste like Android unless it's jail broken I think. Anyway Nintendo should be more concerned with their ROMs up to torrent for years for all of their concoles, but then again they can't do nothing about it, they never will and I love it. 🤣
Won't belong before Nintendo bangs on Apple's door to have the emu removed. Like I say you take down one six more take it's place. Problem is people are putting emu's on such stupid platforms. The good emus are the ones not on stupid platforms like a red target. The good emu's are word of mouth and keep a low profile.

Golden Axe is a great game I enjoyed it on the SMS, Genesis and in the arcade. Great game but it truly was a quarter eater back in the day. I wish Sega could get the rights to the arcade port of Moonwalker another great arcade game I enjoyed. Collect so many monkeys and become Robo Michael lol.
