HITC Tech says: "The castAR glasses are a headset which allows its wearer to view augmented reality images through the lenses. The project was funded on Kickstarter a year ago, where the Technical Illusions team raised $1 million."

Of course its just an add on devices on real high price thats the only reason its hard to sell.
If i have ps4 i would buy pro with 400 bucks.
If i have pc i would dose more power to my pc with that 500 or 600 bucks of oculus.
Add ons should never be that expensive.
CastAR will return money to Kickstarter supporters and give them free AR glasses when they ship them.
Now this isn't something you hear about often. And the 3,000 or so backers get a free pair in 2017. Sweet deal!
Augmented reality devices are right around the corner; in the case of Google Glass, they're already here. One thing the companies working on them have in common is their expectation that these devices will be transformative for the video game space.

Another day another something something to change how we play games. Just hand me a controller and a game that wasn't rushed to meet the deadline. That'll be a welcome change.
its pretty interesting, but at the same time its saddens me that people in the future will rely to much on the digital world.
i want my kids growing up playing monopoly, scrabble and can be played without any electricity.
i like the non gaming aspects of AR though and i think it will definitely be useful wether this company does it or some other company.
