Searchers called to find boy playing video games

A 15-year-old boy returned home safe in the early hours Friday morning after more than 30 officials and family members searched near Mazeppa for about three hours. He left about 8:30 p.m. Thursday and his parents had not heard from him by 1:20 a.m. Friday, well after his normal curfew, according to the report.

A search in the dark included five Goodhue County sheriff's deputies, three Wabasha County deputies, nine Zumbro Falls firefighters, three Mazeppa firefighters and 14 family members. Members of the Goodhue County Sheriff's Posse also were on the way to assist.
