The guys over at Method Director got some hands on time with Shadowrun and have written all about it on their blog.
this confirms what i have said to everyone when a Shadowrun article would pop up and people would post...no!!! they are not doing an RPG. it says it right here that just because they are not doing an RPG this time dosen't mean they will not do one. there! that is at least the fifth time i pointed that out and no one seemed to notice. after i posted similar comments before, people went right back to, "no!!! they are not doing an RPG."
I like the game play mechanics and idea of what FASA is doing here. I would have loved a single player game too but it sounds like this is strictly going to be a multiplayer game. If there is one, please let me know. As for the game...I was pleasantly surprized by some of the visuals I saw from the on-screen stuff. What I saw before with this game did not impress me visually. However, the big screen looks in the blog showed some very nice visuals that were definitely a bump up over the previous shots I saw. It's looking promising. Side note: I wish he would have commented on how well the PC players did against the 360 players? Was mouse and keyboard a big advantage?
It just looks better and better every time I see it
They will have my money. Alot of people do not understand what a huge slap in the face this game was to Shadowrun fans. Many , many people are still trying to figure out why they used the Shadowrun license for another UT clone. It is a shame.
