Meet Shota Nakama, Arranger for Final Fantasy XV & Founder of the Video Game Orchestra

For years I've been a firm believer that music can take a video game from good to great.

A game's soundtrack has the ability to emotionally convey the essence of gaming moments. Great soundtracks are generally lauded universally and, up until recently, heard only in the games they accompany.

In 2008, after graduating from the Berklee College of Music, Shota Nakama decided to form Video Game Orchestra (VGO) with the help of some of his friends and classmates. VGO is an "orchestral rock band" that performs at a variety of venues and most recently helped produce the soundtrack for Final Fantasy XV. Depending on the size of the venue, VGO could perform as a full orchestra, complete with choir, or as a five- or ten-piece rock band.

The story is too old to be commented.

Japanese composition music for games I find much better than any other country for composing original scores.
