Nvidia's New Game Streaming Service is Twice as Fast as Playstation Now

Brandon Tyrrel - Today, Nvidia has revealed a new cloud streaming service called Grid.

Launching in North America alongside the Shield Tablet software update next Tuesday, November 18, Grid allows owners of the Shield Tablet and Shield Portable devices to stream select PC games from Nvidia's launch library. The service will come to Western Europe in December, and Asia next year.

"When you download the new Shield Hub update there will be a new tab there called Grid Games," said Phil Eisler, general manager of Grid Gaming. "In addition to playing your Android games, and any local GeForce games, you'll be able to connect to our cloud servers and stream a library of games that we have there."

The story is too old to be commented.

That's because consoles have limited bandwith, it's a no brainer.

On my Ps4 i download games at 5-6 mbp/s, but on my PC it can go up to like 15mbp/s

Their are multiple reasons why your PS4 might be getting slower speeds then your PC. But "Limited Bandwidth" isn't one of them.

If you open up ports that the PS4 uses for down/uploading I'm sure you will get better speeds.
Is your PS4 on wireless?
Is your PS4 running a Cat3 cable?

I currently run a 80/30Mbps connection and my speed tests usually show 75Mbps+ for both my PS3 and X360

Thanks alot, googled alittle bit and found out that you can change the DNS settings to improve the speed!

Unless it can bring Console games to PC... there is no need for this. I can see Nvidia using it to let low end PC's play high end games but unless they are bringing some sort of games that can't be played on PC to PC then it doesn't matter how much faster it is.

This is all true about Nvidias Grid being better than PS Now!
