Just Cause 3 Will Be the Game to Judge The New Gen By

From GamesReviews:

"There's a lot of talk, always, about maxing out consoles, about things that were impossible only a few years ago, and the conversation always ends up in the same way. Console wars, endlessly arguing over exclusives. With the current line up though, the pressure is on an innovative favourite to show how originality should be done."

I am thoroughly excited for this game, with such little information :)

JoGam1101d ago

This is one of my most interested games of 2015.

I think ill keep my expectations in check and see actual gameplay videos before getting any hyped. if this year has taught me anything is we as gamers need to keep our hype in check. just because the last title did really well does not mean the next release will be or because our beloved publishers wont switch on us.

vikingland11101d ago

I agree, this has been said with many games already out.

I am so excited for this. I had no idea it was this far into development. I assumed they wouldn't start on it until Mad Max was done.

It's so easy to forget Mad Max is still a thing.

Just Cause 3, now all I need is Mafia 3 and Fallout 4 to be announced and i'll be one very happy individual

I dunno. I think Uncharted 4 will be the game to judge the new generation, but even it's release is early this gen. What are we going to be seeing 5 years from now?

Agreed, I'm sure Just Cause will look great, but I think it's more about having a huge island to have fun on. I would say that a GTA game made for current gen, Final Fantasy 5 or Uncharted, Halo, Gears, Gran Turismo, Crysis and games like that will be the titles by which to judge the new generation of games.

It's so true that even the games coming up even next year or the year after won't be pushing graphics, scale or anything as far as can go, they'll look much better than the 1st year of releases on the new hardware and there will be an evolution of that the year after, but it won't be until nearer the end that we really see how great things can look with the current tech or just what's possible with physics, AI and so on.

You can't really judge anything in it's entirety until you've seen everything it has to offer.
