This week’s issue of Famitsu has an interview with Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma. While much of the discussion focused on Majora’s Mask, the magazine also managed to ask a couple of questions about Zelda Wii U.
Right now it looks like awesome, and that style really makes a HUGE difference, it makes possible the introduction of that high quality grass and beautiful weather effects. Hopefully they can surprise us even more in 2015.
I am the only one, and perhaps I am, sort of hoping that Zelda U will actually be sort of more on the RPG side? I've always loved Zelda's combat system but it could've been so much better with the ability to level up and wield equipment other than the Master Sword and Hyrulian shield.
gonna be epic. holiday 2015 confirmed, knowing the other Zeldas. Skyward Sword gameplay at e3 and got a release date holiday of the same year. Big Zelda year next year!
@iamtehpwn No, I don't think you're alone on that. Honestly, I believe that if Nintendo isn't looking at a lite sort of Darksiders II loot system, they're crazy. Look at the Zora & Magic Armor from Twilight Princess- imagine a game where Link's cap has a base circlet to it that could be visibly swapped out and have different attributes. Imagine gem slots in Power Bracelets that, when equipped with the proper gem, vampirically steal health when using the boomerang. THAT'S the Zelda I want.
looking awesome but they really need to get this game out in 2015.
Yeah I just cant wait to ride Epona at night with a starry backdrop, or venture up Death Mountain and see how awesome the lava effects will look. Or Fairy temples and insides of caves. This game will be nothing short of amazing!!
Hope we get some weather effects. A storm would look incredible in that art style.
If Wind Waler HD has I see no problem.
Any reason to bring back Song of Storms is a good one.
The art style makes this look gorgeous as it is, and it's on the weakest of the next-gen systems... I shudder at the thought of how much better it could be now, if it was something that was worth Aonuma commenting on...
"Better than before" If we get those visuals at 1080p and 60FPS, oh man. I guess the only thing left is the content and structure. Sounds very promising.
No console 3D Zelda game runs at 60fps. None. I doubt this will.
From what I remembered Zelda Wii U e3 demo frame rate ran smoothly. I'm not bothered by it. 30fps is fine. I'm more concerned with the game play.
With the emphasis on color and fluid art 60 FPS feels right for this one. But of course the content is king, and the tid-bits sound awesome so far.
In Aonuma we trust
where were you when Nintendo won 2015.
As far as good games go... I'm here now as Nintendo wins 2014
Star Fox, Zelda, Splatoon, Xenoblade. Oh yes 2015 will be amazing.
Can't... Stop... Drooling... :F
I Can believe Zelda wii U look better than the e3 demo. Man, I'm really excited now. Metroid is going to look amazing too.
Take my money!
Every time I see any pictures of this game my hair stands on end. It's incredible, hard to believe that it looks that beautiful. Nintendo has some REALLY talented programmers because this game (arguably) looks better than any other new-gen game to date.
Uncharted 4 looks better. (I will get dislikes for telling the truth on N4G)
The dislikes you probably get are for not telling the truth and probably for fanboyism. If your the type of fake gamer that is purely about graphical capabilities and sales then you should get permanent disagrees.
No, you'll get dislikes for making a non-sequitur, flamebait comment like that. What does Uncharted 4's graphics have to do with Zelda's graphics being improved? Do you do that in every discussion? Doctor: "I'm sorry Pyro2000x, but it looks like it's terminal cancer." Pyro2000x: "Yes, but have you seen Uncharted 4's grayfex?"
not make grayfex "woter" When it comes to graphics he is obsess with water
I want to see new video or pictures because what we seen so far looks good enough.
I believe him. At first Skyward Sword looked meh, but then it started shining the second time it was shown at E3 as a bit more stylistic. This game looks great already. Maybe next time I will be blown away.
