Ubisoft is on track to take the title of “Worst Game Company” from EA

Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Unity released yesterday for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC…and the game’s launch was certainly not a revolution, to say the very least.

Assassin’s Creed Unity was host to a large amount of issues – ranging from piss-poor performance analyses across all available platforms to accusations of using its review embargo to hide the game’s technical issues (amidst numerous other bugs, glitches, et cetera).

It wouldn’t be far off from the truth to say that Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed launch day rivaled the fiercely negative backlash associated with another Ubisoft title released earlier this year, Watch_Dogs.

With the previous information in mind, alongside a number of other gaming controversies, Ubisoft seems poised to take the title of “worst game company” from EA.

Can't believe in 1 year Ubisofts reputation has gone nearly down the drain.

DesertFoxJr1104d ago

It's a damn shame. I always used to say Ubisoft was one of those companies that could put out yearly releases that were actually good, in one way or another.

AngelicIceDiamond1104d ago

YES!!

I said the same thing. Quality is what came to mind when someone brought up Ubisofts name.

Now (this year at least) I think of broken promises and subpar games and YES that's how I truly feel.

Why the hell is is AC so damm buggy? And no its not just this game its all the AC games.

Insomniac got the frames down with SOD loads of AI on screen and that game runs near flawless all while all the parkour elements being silky. (Anyone whos played it knows what I'm talkin about)

But AC is a mess year in and year out.

I enjoyed the heck out of Black Flag and Far cry 3. I was planning on buying Watchdogs and Unity but look what happened to those games?

I really want to play Far cry 4 but I'm afraid that it will be a technical mess like Watchdogs and Unity.

the rayman games always seem to put a smile on my face. And some of their earlier works on dreamcast are still enjoyable to play.

DesertFoxJr1104d ago

Yeah, this whole fiasco has me worried about Far Cry 4.

They're certainly the worst publisher out there right now. Watch Dogs was mediocre, downgraded to "meh" status and ran horribly on PC, they didn't send out review copies to anyone for AC Rouge, UPlay is still the same annoying unnecessary mess it has always been, they took pre-orders from Steam and then took the games out of Steam without notice in the UK and now Unity, which had a review embargo until after the game was released, runs like crap across all systems. I've just read that they're blaming AMD hardware for the status of their PC port of Unity.

Enjoy that big shit sandwich Ubisoft. You've certainly earned it.

Ubi, what happened. These guys are a mess

Child of Light, anyone?

Let's not write Ubisoft off just yet. With that said though I've got my copy of Assassin's Creed Unity on the way to me in the post and I'm starting to wonder if I'm going to regret that decision. Maybe there's a reason I've not played any of the AC games apart from the first xD
