Racial Diversity Gaming Hour 40: Xbox One could pass PlayStation 4 this holiday

What's up, gamers? RDGH has finally reached its fortieth episode, and with it comes a new member of the crew! Matt "Mario" Fernandez joins Garri Bagdasarov and host Glenn Gordon this week for RDGH's latest landmark.

Second Life, the virtual world that was really big for awhile but since slipped into relative obscurity, is planning to make a comeback of sorts. Some Xbox gamers have been doing something naughty for the holidays in the face of PlayStation 4's exclusive DLC planned for Destiny's first expansion pack, The Dark Below. PlayStation has offered its first bit of evidence that it plans to buff the PlayStation Network in the form of a survey directly comparing PSN and PS Plus to Xbox Live and Xbox Live Gold.

PlayStation also published a list of games to expect at its PlayStation Experience event in December. It's not a complete list, but it's fun to know what to expect. DRIVECLUB also offers a bit of news (sort of) from Shuhei Yoshida. Finally, a price drop for the holidays makes the Xbox One quite a good buy. How could that affect PlayStation's nine-month streak?

All this and much more comprises the fortieth episode of the Racial Diversity Gaming Hour. Join the discussion on Twitter @TheRDGH. Gamers, don't forget to forever shun discrimination between gaming platforms. In other words, don't be a racist.

Xbox One to sell more than Playstation 4... not a chance.

i dont understand ...when they say that xbone will surpass PS4 they think that US is the whole world (where there is chance for Xbone to surpass PS4) ..because at other countries and global scale xbone is just non existant

Maybe for a month or two in America but Sony will have it right back all next year since Xbox doesn't have anything big till the holidays with halo 5. And Europe will be a total massacre this Christmas for Xbox.

The only thing winning the holiday season in US for Microsoft will do is slow the lead from building as much, whereas worldwide it's bound to grow by 2-4 million or more.

But congrats to Microsoft anyway as they've done really good lately as I await my sunset overdrive bundle.

People think a 1 million or 6 million gap in the us and world respectively will close that fast? Good luck with that bet...

Lol, to be clear, we're talking in month-to-month sales, not cumulative worldwide sales.

Do I think Xbox one could win month to month sales in the US for November and December? sure

But the problem is PlayStation makes up for any gap shortening in the 10 months out of the year it does the US of course. Can't really make a case for the Xbox taking a month worldwide.

"we're talking in month-to-month sales, not cumulative worldwide sales."

Then change the headline.

Maybe in the USA but I dont think it will in the rest of the world.

@"Xbox One could pass PlayStation 4 this holiday"

And if poop was gold, poverty would end overnight. Unfortunately, there's this nagging thing called "reality" that everyone, even Xbox One fanboys, must face.
