How much is Nintendo really worth? (Clue: very much)

Recent financial figures released by Kyoto's most successful hanafuda manufacturer explain just how sickeningly rich the company is. NCL's total net assets as of September 30th, 2006 stand at US$10.86 billion. Do you know how many Rares you could buy for that? Too many!

Nintendo's net sales (nothing to do with this here internet) for this fiscal year, which ends on March 31st, 2007, are forecast to be US$6.378 billion, while net profits (after the taxmen have taken their pieces of the sumptuous pie) for this financial year are expected to total US$862 million. That's quite a lot of money...

The story is too old to be commented.

ppl complaint that nintendo doesnt have the money to produce a monster machine....i guess they cant with US$10.86 billion

even if they do have the money. They would rather keep making underpowered machines and games for 6 year old kids. The freakin V-Smile ( http://www.vtechkids.com/pr... is probably more powerful than the Wii.

as your name suggests you must enjoy some of the finer handhelds out there. So obviously your enjoying the wonders Nintendo have brought you in that department. A monster machine only needs to supply a fun factor. It doesn't mean that it needs to have the best of everything just mean that it's great and people want it. So I think Nintendo did make a monster machine. They can't even meet the demand for it yet and they were pretty sure they had enough!

Nintendo has been around a while they should be making billions especially the strong sales of the DS and Wii are currently receiving for Nintendo.
