PS Plus Vs Games With Gold: November

Both companies will be releasing brand new unreleased title this month, PS Plus will have strategy title Frozen Synapse Prime on the PS3, The Hungry Horde on Vita and The Binding of Issac: Rebirth on Vita/PS4. Games With Gold will have only one new title, the challenging indie game Volgarr The Viking on Xbox One. Since Frozen Synapse Prime seems like a straight port of the Vita version and The Binding of Issac: Rebirth is also a port, it is far to say that there is one brand new release for each company. The equality between the two services stops there though as the rest of Games With Gold is practically ancient, Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise and Red Faction: Guerilla came out in 2008 and 2009.

So far I've been using PS plus for just online gaming, dont really get anything out of most of the indies I've seen so far. I'm not even against indies its just that I like free-roam types mainly or first person, looking forward to No man's sky though.

This didn't have to be vs., this is gonna be a fanboy flame war.
Ps plus indies haven't been good but Outlast, Resogun, and Mercenary Kings were amazing free games.
Red Faction Guerilla was an amazing game back in 2009 thats a good free game I loved it as for Xbone games never heard of any of those

Here ye! Here ye! I now declare this flame-war officially over before it starts!

*Trumpets now playing to mark the end.

I agree with Outlast and Resogun, though I still have to finish Outlast. Mercenary Kings is a game I was planning on buying, until I found out it was PS+ - so ofcourse I was happy when I discovered I'd be getting it. To be honest though, Mercenary Kings was a bit of a letdown for what it was said to be on paper. Most the missions are a complete waste of time, and I feel there needed to be more areas and bosses in general. The idea is very cool though, the execution of the game left something to be desired.

I am anticipating Binding of Isaac though, I have the main game on Steam. I played a lot of it, I didn't play much of one of those last free updates that added tons of content though. So, there's lots of items and areas for me to see still, then this one has even way more content - so it should be pretty sweet.

MK is much better in co-op.

Volkama1360d ago

Both line-ups pretty much stink, which is worth talking about but as a mutual topic rather than a vs.

Ill have to disagree with you about mercenary kings, I found it quite boring but I realy liked strider and stick it to the man.

I been having a blast with Volggar, it is brutal and I don't see many people appreciating how good it is due to its difficulty

bleedsoe9mm1360d ago (Edited 1360d ago )

ya its hard as heck but really fun . anyone confirm The Binding of Issac: Rebirth is a new game i thought it was just a GOTY edition ? i don't think a new ps3 game is on the same level as a new xb1 but maybe thats just me . personally i think sony stopped trying after titanfall didn't even things up , no point spending if they don't have too , that also why there will be no new big 3rd party exclusives announced at the ps experience , they can't sell consoles any faster so why spend the money until they need a bump . sorry LAWSON72 last part wasn't directed at you , just had it on my mind .
