With the release of EA Sports' NBA Live 15, the rivalry is back in action. Will NBA Live 15 or NBA 2K15 win October?
That's like asking who would win between a ten year old kid and Micheal Jordan. Ummmmm NBA 2k15 and NBA Lie 15. Well I guess when NBA Live gets beat every year, do what EA does best.... Buy the NBA license..
To be fair EA stepped it up this year, but it wasn't enough in my opinion.
Neon, I wish I could agree. But I have played live, and no..they have not stepped up there game to compete with 2k. The only thing that looks better in live is the courts and the courtsides (maybe). The gameplay is no where near 2k. The ISO dribble is still like you are not in control of your player. Shot meter is no where near as good as 2k. Player animations are still stiff, features are not bad but still no where near 2k . I really wanted to give some love to live, its just...still not there yet...improvements from the god awful 14? Sure, but no where near 2k yet. Only reason I'm saying this is because, the strides claimed I dont see it. Hopefully they keep digging and pushing 2k because in relativity to growth, 2k took a small step back n 2k15
Live suck I play the demo and it sucks ass, demo is on Psn store
2k15 will absolutely and categorically destroy Live.
Lol is this a serious question?
Live is definitely better no doubt but it's still not even in the same universe as NBA2K and probably won't be for the foreseeable future or maybe even ever. They are just to far behind to realistically catch up, especially with how EA makes games.
2k will win..... But I'm buying live 15, why? I don't like 2k's clunky gameplay, it just doesn't feel fun to play. All I want out of a nba game is a easy pick up & play system, I don't care to be all technical with how I play the game. Also I want a realistic arena atmosphere with in depth high fidelity. 2k may have slightly better graphics, but they lose it in gameplay. Live has improved it graphics (still needing more improving overall) while keeping a more fun gameplay style. I'll be picking up live 15 when I see it at a low price, no sports game is worth $60
That's why sports games are always split. Live, and EA sports as a whole, has always thrived on exactly what you said. They deliver a fun experience. However, this is usually at the expense of some realism or "sim" aspects. What I like is that we now have a choice. Personally, I prefer the sim style of gameplay. So, I like the 2K series. That doesn't mean that I don't find Live to be fun. That being said, I don't think that Live beats 2K in anything more than maybe the arenas. Those look really good. Live's gameplay is pretty stiff. Animations and transition animations are "off". The AI is not very smart offensively or defensively. Fast breaks are pretty good, though. Overall, Live is making strides. It might be ready to take on 2K head to head in 1 or 2 years.
