Here is how to use the new USB music feature on PlayStation 4 update 2.0

Gamezone: "One of the newer features of the PlayStation 4 introduced with update 2.0 is the ability to play your own custom music from a USB stick. Upon first dragging and dropping my folders onto the USB, I was unable to find how to make the songs play. Nothing in Settings, no options when I held the PS button down. Turns out, there is quite a simple fix."

A man isn't sure how much he'll use this (really into the atmosphere the game is trying to create and it's sound goes along with that) but for people who play MP shooters and such he's sure this will be nice.

If GT7 doesn't have updated car sounds, I imagine I will use this just as I did in GT5 and still do in GT6. The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin and even The Prodigy work quite well with those games.

yeah racing games don't have much in the area of sound after awhile a man would imagine though he doesn't frequent them

Yea, music is pretty useless. (For me at least) I feel like my xbox one is now complete with dlna and usb support for almost all music, photo and vido types. Now all I need is the same for my PS4 and I am totally stoked with both of the consoles ui.

Yea it would be nice if it was on there now. I've been using Plex through the web browser as my DLNA and it's worked not bad. Not great...but not bad. It will hold me over until full DLNA hits. Man both these systems are rocking now.

Hmmm, I'll have to look into Plex. I've still just been using my PS3. It's always done the job so well with media streaming. Being able to stream music in and have it go through my stereo system = uber greatness.

Just add a folder called 'Music' to your USB drive. There saved you the trouble of clicking!

Yeah, pretty corny, but someone will jump out and scream how we should be happy to be getting anything at all. It's about to be 2015 though, it's pretty sad. I still feel the reason it's so annoying and there's no local or DLNA player is because they want to force Music/Video Unlimited on us as the most convenient method.

Yeah, you can place albums in the "Music" folder.

No da sony explained how it work awhile ago. Anyways guess I gotta organize my music on hdd by stars now since there won't be no playlist. Also some people has issues, theres are reason why its hdd only and not bad at all. For those who complains about why we need mp3 on it, its an option. Yeah theres other devices out there that other prefer, I listen to music on smartphone through car while driving or headphones in passenger seat. At home through ps3 and speakers why because I hate have headphones in my ear.

Plug into your computer and got to documents. Go to computer by clicking on the drop bar up top and get into your usb. Right click and hit new folder. Name it Music and make individule folders inside it.

why do you have to buy a usb to play music when you have console with a hdd. if you have a lot of music you are going to have to buy a usb unless you they hassle. at least if you only had to do it with movies it would be understandable. o well beggars can be chooser, if you feel that you could just play music like normally like normal people do lol dj hit me

Does anyone know if this works on all games? Like Madden 15 for instance. I HATE hearing the same AC/DC song EVERY time I play haha I like AC/DC but wow, you can only take the same song so many times.

Its only through USB and not HDD because of being able to put foles on your ps3 is the reason it was able to get pirated so easily. Thank your friendly neighborhood "haxors" for that smooth move.
