Game Lead Designer Ion Hazzikostas believes the game will keep going and there will be the 20th anniversary. "Yes, without a question. I can't tell you exactly what our 20th anniversary celebration event is going to be–maybe new content which hasn't been created–but I can tell you there's going to be one," Hazzikostas told PC Gamer in an interview.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the opening of beta registrations for “World of Warcraft: The War Within,” inviting players to explore new subterranean worlds beneath Azeroth.

It's a Blizzard game so yeah it's certainly possible. The only ones that could kill the game really are Blizzard themselves but even then there are unofficial servers to play on
I wonder what the top hours in this game look like? Probably something unimaginable. Like actually years.
If Everquest can still be running and releasing xpacs (last released in Oct 2013 and another rumored soon to be released), I'm pretty sure that WoW will last for however long as Blizzard wants it to.
Sure will last ten years seeing how Blizzard isn't really doing anything else well at least anything new.
