It’s been said time and again that I love indie games. From media-darling underground hits to small-time titles that never break out to the big stage, they’re a wonderful and beautiful thing. So when a game like Team Indie comes along and throws together a whole slew of fantastic indie games, it’s right up my alley. How well can it work, though, to create a new world and game and fill it with protagonists from nine previously-released games? I wasn’t so sure, but I jumped in feet-first and decided to see for myself
G3AR: "When I started playing Team Indie, I thought, “Pffft easy peasy lemon squeezy.” Boy was I wrong. At first, the game seems like a simple-enough platformer (and believe me, at this point you should press on for more exciting gameplay), but add 10 of your favourite indie game characters with all of their special abilities into the mix and you start to see the bigger picture. Each level expands on the last as you play co-op with your previous runs (an introvert’s dream), bend time to try keep up with your other characters and to outrun the crazy cat boss that’s trying to kill you."
Brilliantly Epic's official review of Team Indie, the light-hearted game that features numerous indie game characters.
Team Indie unites indie video game characters into one play experience. You will play co-op with your own prior runs and bend time to get through puzzles and action sequences. Characters like CommanderVideo from BIT.TRIP RUNNER or Clunk from Awesomenauts join forces, each one with their unique skill to cooperatively get through the jump ‘n run levels
