VGW's Will Harrison: A City Sleeps suffers from too many individual issues to accept the game as a whole. A lack of tightness in controls is unforgivable in a genre that has seen the likes of Ikaruga provide precision, in addition to game play intrigue. Despite the success of Fantasia: Music Evolved, the developer may suffer a rude awakening from this attempt to shirk their plastic guitar past, as A City Sleeps is nothing more than a bad dream for fans of the Shoot Em Up genre.
