Dragon Ball Xenoverse Release Date Announced with some good news

The release date for Dragon Ball Xenoverse has been announced and and will be released in Japan on February 5th 2015. This good news was revealed in the December issue of Shueisha’s V Jump magazine. That’s not all, the magazine also announced that Vegito and Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta will be there as the playable characters. In Dragon Ball Xenoverse, player can take the role of the original character who teams up with Trunks and the Kai of Time to stop Towa and Mira from changing the history.

I don't think the gap will be that large. Well at least I hope! I mean a lot of the english VO will be recycled from the anime with the addition of some new recordings. I just hope the logistics of this games development have been smooth to get it all done efficiently with overseas studios.

First DBZ game since Burst Limit. SSJ4 Goku looks so good in the new engine. Not sure if I should get it on PC or PS4 though :S

The battles seemed underwhelming, but that's just my opinion.

The MMO aspects are certainly a big draw, but the main reason we're excited for Xenoverse is that its developed by Dumps, who we know are very good at making fighting games that arevery faithful to the source material (Dumps makes all of the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games).

Couple that with the fact that every single DB game last generation was terrible, and you can see why we're so excited.

I thought that the Naruto games were developed by CyberConnect2 and they are very good at making fighting games.
I suppose I'll have to see more gameplay videos.
I'd love nothing more than to jump in the DBZ universe, it's what I grew up on.

You are mistaken, Dimps (Not Dumps) did not make the Naruto games. CyberConnect2 does. Dimps made the DBZ: Budokai trilogy on the PS2. The best DBZ games imo. They also did DBZ: Burst Limit for last-gen consoles.

Dimps made the Ps2 Naruto games. The ps3 ones are made by CC2

Tenkaichi 2 and 3 were the best DB games as far as im concerned. It actually felt like you were playig the show. Also, 3 had the biggest and best roster.

I still find it sad that a PS2 DBZ game had more characters and options than its PS3 DBZ counterpart.

To me even more embarrassing is the fact that the beam effects are worse in the newer DBZ games than in BT2/3.

Xenoverses effects seem pretty good but I feel that they still dont look quite as good even though they have more visual fidelity.
