Senior Microsoft Employee Shows Support For #GamerGate

One Angry Gamer "In addition to the “Xbro” developer that came out in support of #GamerGate previously, and partook in Escapist Magazine’s developer interview, another high-level Microsoft employee has come out in favor of the consumer revolt, telling gamers to keep fighting the good fight."

I wonder when other major companies will post anonymously in support for GG.

As far as I know only this MS dev has been the only major person to support GG. The rest have been a lot of indie devs.

It's playing with fire. Companies don't want negative press on them, and supporting gamergate gets some hate from the other side. Say one thing that could be taken the wrong way, and it could be good-bye job. Happened to some random people already not associated with the gaming industry, and its just sick.

However, if a pretty high placed executive comes out for it, then I bet things could turn around, and maybe GG can start getting some of the notice that it's trying to get. Most websites wouldn't want to piss off a high level executive from a major developer or publisher.

well idk, doesnt microsoft kinda do the same thing with inviting youtubers to these "showings" so they can upload positive videos about their games?

and not just youtubers what about journalists writing all these previews about games.

im sure a lot more stuff is going on behind the scenes.

"well idk, doesnt microsoft kinda do the same thing with inviting youtubers to these "showings" so they can upload positive videos about their games? "

Microsoft sleeps with Youtubers? Joking aside, yeah, that was quite a sketchy move that kind of blurred the lines between promoting your product and promoting bias.

"im sure a lot more stuff is going on behind the scenes."

Then we can't just assume its just MS that does this. All companies and devs no doubt get cosy behind the scenes with reviewers somehow.

Btw, just to put this out there, the day I give the next Call of Duty a 10/10, assume that either the franchise pulled off a massive miracle and delivered something stellar or that Tina Palacios, Community Manager at Infinity Ward finally slept with me.
