umm no.

but isnt it getting an overhaul next year with windows 10?

It looks really clever but it's designed for tablet and considering Kinect is under utilised, Microsoft is unlikely to try and make a new peripheral control device for XBO.

Kinect 2.0 already fully tracks your hands movements and 3d objects, not to mention Microsoft is still working on improving kinect! So this application makes no sense in my view for gaming, just look at that high input lag.

some of the stuff isn't possible... like the frame step animation... also I imagine this is a lot cheaper

mcstorm1260d ago

I dont see this as a gaming input device but used in business like shown by the user when using cad.

I can see this device working really well in the real world ESP as touch screens start to become the normal computing input devices.

The tech looks really impressive though and could be used in a lot of ways in the business world but I don't see it being used in gaming.

Cad was my first thought too.

But it doesn't hurt for Xbox one or Surface Pro to have options and added features.

Anyone else notice a google chrome browser at the bottom of the computer?

Cueil1260d ago

there are many websites that hate MS and simply don't render well on IE or use Chrome specific code

Ausbo1259d ago

I thought this was an MS video

How about making some addictive games instead. All these researches are not going to be practical in real games, look at Kinect!! They can't even fix up the lag!!

spicelicka1260d ago (Edited 1260d ago )

Microsoft isn't just a gaming company you know that right, that's a separate department. This kind of research and prototyping is done by a lot of companies in the technology industry. It has nothing to do with Xbox so they wouldn't scrap it for making 'addictive' games instead. The article is stretching it by implying that this could be for xbox, its impractical and made for.tablets. if they ever find a use for it on Xbox then they might consider experimenting with it but not likely.
